Moving my grandparents house

Two signs that a person needs a removalist's help

Here are two signs that a person who's moving needs a removalist to help them with this task.

The person's belongings include high-value items

Anyone who is moving and whose belongings include high-value objects should ensure that they get a removalist to move their items. The first reason for this is that a good removalist will know the best way to hold and transport specific types of valuable items (like a crystal chandelier or a costly sculpture) in a way that will make it highly unlikely that these items will get lost or broken when they're being moved. In contrast, if the owner of these valuable goods has never transported them before, they may pack, handle or transport them incorrectly and accidentally destroy these objects.

The second reason for this is that practically all removalists have insurance policies they can make claims on, should one of their client's belongings not make it to his or her new home in one piece. Whilst the likelihood of this happening will be very low with a reputable removalist's involvement in a house move, this type of policy will give the owner of the high-value items peace of mind throughout this stressful time. They'll know that they would be reimbursed if, for example, another vehicle drove into the back of the removalist's van, and this led to their valuable possessions in the van getting damaged.

The person's friends and family can't help them move

If a person is moving at a time when their friends and family can't help them move, then they must get a removalist to help them instead. If a person moves on their own, they will probably be unable to successfully carry their larger furniture items (that should be carried by multiple people or with lifting equipment) and might, therefore, break these items. There is also a chance that if they attempt to carry heavy objects on their own, they could pull a muscle because of this. Lastly, if a person has a lot of personal belongings, moving all of them without help might take several days and be exhausting for them.

In this situation, a removalist and their team could use their plentiful manpower and lifting equipment to carry the client's bigger and heavier belongings safely, without harming themselves or damaging the items. They could also move all of the client's belongings speedily, and thus help that person to get settled in their new place faster. Finally, a removalist's help could also spare the person who's moving the exhaustion that would come with doing this work on their own.
